Homecoming Sunday, September 14 (11:30 am)
“Come home to Shiloh”, a house of God’s love that has stood in West Medford for generations—through trials and triumphs, through change and renewal. Here, we have always known the truth: the God who formed the heavens cares tenderly for creation, and holds each of us close.
We are blessed to welcome home pastor, theologian, consultant, and Brownskinned Poet Terry E. Carter, a son of this church and a Medford original! His prophetic poetry sings the story of “the Ville”—our community woven together in memory and hope, in struggle and joy. His words remind us that Shiloh is more than walls and windows—it is family, it is home, it is the embrace of a God whose love never lets go.
If you’ve been away for a week, a year, or a lifetime, this is your invitation: come home. Come home to Shiloh, where God’s care is waiting, and where you already belong. Come home to Shiloh, where softly and tenderly, Jesus is calling, Ye who are weary, come home.

📜 Shiloh’s Story
For more than a century, Shiloh Baptist Church has been a home in the Ville—a gathering place for Black families in West Medford, a beacon of faith in times of struggle, and a sanctuary of joy in times of celebration. From its earliest days, Shiloh has carried the stories, prayers, and songs of this community, passing them from one generation to the next.
When you walk through Shiloh’s doors, you step into a living history: a family of faith rooted in resilience, lifted by God’s care, and always ready to welcome you home.
