The Stones That Still Speak: Holding Fast to What They Tried to Erase
Joshua 4:1-9

The people of Israel gather twelve stones as a testimony to what God has brought them through. In an age when stories are distorted, memories are dismissed, and histories are rewritten, this ancient moment invites us to consider the markers in our own lives—those undeniable signs that God has carried us, shaped us, and called us forward.

Come ready to engage a message that reminds us that remembrance is a sacred act of resistance. These stones—then and now—call us to tell the truth about where we have been, what we have survived, and who we are becoming. Join us as we honor the stories that still stand, the faith that still holds, and the God whose presence continues to speak across generations.

Rev. Daniela Harrigan (she/her) is a Movement Chaplain, TFAM (The Fellowship of Affirming Ministry) ordained minister, community organizer, and a graduate student at Boston University School of Theology. She serves as Director of Community Engagement for the MA Department of Mental Health (DMH) and sits on the Boston Advisory- Action Council for the Black Sports Ministry Network (BSMN).

Rooted in African diaspora traditions, Daniela centers healing and liberation through ancestral African practices and womanist frameworks. She uplifts faith, activism, and collective care, drawing inspiration from Fannie Lou Hamer’s words: “Nobody’s free until everybody’s free.”

Daniela designs sacred spaces for those historically harmed by systemic violence, spiritual exclusion, and racialized trauma. She cultivates these spaces by offering messages of individual and collective liberation; creating opportunities for transformation through ritual and reflection; and supporting justice movements, including advocacy for Palestine, labor rights, and immigrant justice. She also leads healing and restorative circles across faith communities and intergenerational spaces. In 2024, she joined Worcester Interfaith and now serves on a steering committee for the Massachusetts Communities Action Network (MCAN).
