“Stop Talking To Snakes”
Genesis 3:1-10 (NIV)
Somebody is always talking. The real question is who are you listening to? Every day, voices come at us, smooth and reasonable and half true, telling us God didn’t really mean it, that we’ll never be enough, that the way things are is the way they’ll always be. Some of those voices come from the culture. Some come from inside our own heads. And some of them sound almost exactly like the truth.
This Sunday, Rev. Dr. Jaron S. Green takes us back to the garden in Genesis 3, where one conversation with the wrong voice unravels everything. We think we know this story. But look closer: the serpent never forces anything. It asks a question, bends a word, and waits for someone to keep the conversation going.
