A Sign of Hope
I Kings 18:36-46 and John 5:17-25
This Sunday at Shiloh, we welcome Rev. Rose Andrews as worship leader and preacher for a message titled “A Sign of Hope.” Drawing from 1 Kings 18:36–46 and John 5:17–25 Rev. Andrews reminds us that even in the space between then and now—between what God has done and what has not yet come to pass—God is still moving, still creating, still designing our future with purpose and love. Like Elijah standing on the mountain, searching the horizon for the faintest cloud, we are invited to trust the God who works behind the scenes, even when the sky looks empty.
As we enter the Advent season, this message meets us at the crossroads of waiting and believing. Jesus’ words in John 5 echo through the ages: “My Father is still working, and I also am working.” Whether you’re longing for healing, clarity, courage, or change, this Sunday’s worship will speak to the quiet places where hope takes root. Come expecting God to stir your faith, strengthen your voice, and remind you that the smallest sign may be the beginning of a breakthrough.
See the Shiloh Worship Page for Online Access to Worship.
Rev. Rose Andrews is a Minister and Prophet sent by the American Baptist Church to serve God’s beloved people.
