Don’t Miss Him While He’s Coming
Luke 19:37-42
Jesus has set his face toward Jerusalem. He knows what’s waiting there — the palms, the plotting, the cross. He knows, and he goes anyway. That’s not resignation. That’s love with its boots on. And Luke 19 says that when he gets there, even the stones will start shouting — because the moment is that big, that holy, that impossible to contain.
But here’s the thing about moments: you can miss them. Not because they don’t show up, but because you weren’t paying attention when they did. This Sunday, one week before Palm Sunday, Rev. Dr. Andre Green asks the question that Lent has been building toward all season: Are you awake? Are you watching? Are you ready for what’s coming?
Join us at Shiloh Baptist Church on Sunday, March 22 as we open Luke 19 and lean into the road to Jerusalem together. Palm Sunday is next. Holy Week follows. And on the other side of all of it — Resurrection. Start walking with us now. You won’t want to miss a step of it!
