“Use What’s in Your Hand”
Exodus 14:13-18 (NKJV)

What if the thing you keep asking God for is already in your hand? Israel stood at the edge of the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s army closing in behind them and nothing but water ahead. They cried out. Moses told them to stand still and watch God work. And then God said something surprising: Why are you crying to me? Tell the people to go forward.

Moses wasn’t holding anything special. A shepherd’s staff. Ordinary wood, worn smooth by years in the wilderness. But God had already put it in his hand, and that’s what God told him to lift. Sometimes faith looks like waiting. Sometimes faith looks like moving before the water parts, trusting that what you’re holding is enough because God says it is.

You’re holding something too. A gift you’ve been sitting on. A voice you’ve kept quiet. A story, a skill, a few dollars, a stubborn hope that won’t die. Join us at Shiloh Baptist Church this Sunday, October 18, as Rev. Dr. Jaron S. Green, our newly elected Senior Pastor, “calls a Staff Meeting.” Bring whatever is in your hand. God isn’t waiting on what you don’t have. God is waiting on what you do.
