“What About Me? Bless Me Too!”
Genesis 27:30-38

Have you ever watched someone else get chosen while you stood right there, waiting your turn? Not passed over by accident, but by design — while you did everything right, played by the rules, showed up the way you were supposed to. And then the moment came, and it wasn’t for you.

That’s Esau’s story. He comes in from the field, hungry and worn out from doing exactly what his father asked, only to find out the blessing meant for him has already been given away — to his brother, through deception. Genesis doesn’t soften what happens next. Esau breaks down. He cries out, “Bless me — me too, my father!” It’s one of the rawest moments in scripture: a grown man begging for what should have already been his.

This Sunday, Rev. Dr. Jaron S. Green brings us into that ache with a word for anyone who’s ever felt overlooked, left out, or forgotten in the moment that mattered. Because here’s the truth underneath Esau’s tears: even when it looks like the blessing is gone, God still sees you. God still hears you. And there’s still a word of purpose being spoken over your life.

Join us at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1 Holton St, Medford — this is a Sunday you don’t want to miss.
