When God Changes the Conversation
Luke 24:13-25 (NKJV)
Two disciples are walking away from Jerusalem, away from the tomb, away from everything they thought they understood about God. They’re grieving. They think the story is over. And Jesus falls into step beside them — and they don’t recognize Him.
This Sunday, Rev. Dr. Andre Bennett preaches “When God Changes the Conversation” from Luke 24:13-35, the road to Emmaus. It’s a story about the moments when our real problem isn’t that God has left the room — it’s that we’ve stopped expecting Him to show up in it. Jesus doesn’t overwhelm these two grieving travelers with a miracle. He walks. He listens. He asks what’s wrong. And then He opens the Scriptures to them in a way that sets their hearts on fire.
Join us this First Sunday as we consider what it means to have our eyes opened — to recognize the presence we’ve been walking right past. Communion will be observed.
